Modern Semi-Detached Redesign - Market Harborough
Transforming Houses into Homes
This modern semi needed to work better for the couple that live there. The main problem with the kitchen was the lack of worktop space for prepping food. Replacing a wheeled island with a large bespoke island provided much needed space for cooking and added additional storage. Lights above the island created a more modern and brighter look and feel. Replacement oak worktops and tiles in sage green added warmth to what previously felt like a rather sterile and cold space.
From the kitchen there was a natural flow into the lounge and to pull the scheme together the feature wall was panelled and painted in sage green, adding much needed character to the room, and matched the kitchen tiles. Dark curtains were replaced for a lighter fabric with a blue, terracotta and sage pattern which added much needed colour. Having the hall in same colour continued the theme and created flow into the rest of the house.
To update the stairs panelling was added and wall lights were replaced with a feature central light adding much needed light and creating a wow factor. This project is still work in progress and has now extended into the bedroom and additional pictures will be added.
